Hi,

We are facing issues while opening .eml files. It says "Note Item not found" and does not open the .eml mail.

These .eml files have been created from a particular mailfile by users and the database has been terminated.

Initially I tried to create .eml files from mails in my mail file and still they did not open.

I tried after deselecting the "Drag and drop saves eml files" option from preferences. It somehow surprisingly worked for the eml files created from mails in my mail file i:e after a drag and drop eml files got saved and they opened.

But the issue with the issue still remains with the original .eml files (emls created from the terminated db).

I have checked and somewhere found a note that the issue has been resolved in client 8.5.3 FP1, but I am running 8.5.3 FP3. Also it has been suggested that the eml file needs to be opened in notepad and the line "type=4; name=$FolderRef" needs to be removed. This did solve the issue, but it is not possible to do so for 3000 odd .eml files.

Is there any solution for this?
